About Me
Hi there,
My name is Abby Lake and I have just graduated from Kingston University, where I completed my Journalism BA degree. I am now a freelance writer and podcast editor.
For the past five years, I have gained a variety of journalism and writing experience. For example, I interned as a Sports Journalist at Pulse Social where I produced and edited a weekly podcast, blog and news bulletin.
I have also worked as a reporter and as the Features Editor for The River, and I have freelanced part-time as a blog writer and podcast editor for two of my clients during the past two years.
I have a wide range of interests but I love personal human stories, whether that be others' or my own. As someone with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy and tinnitus, I am also very passionate about disabilities (particularly non-visible), mental health and health & wellbeing.
In my own time, I also like to film videos for my YouTube channel (abbyklake), read and I love listening to music. I am also an aspiring author on the side!
